A Costco Whiskey Twist: A pretty mint and lime one

Writer's picture: The GothThe Goth

I picked up the Costco whiskey because why not! It's really amazing and easy to drink. It screams for a cocktail. This one is a twist on a classic southern cocktail (mint julep). A simple highball is a good idea.

Whiskey Cocktail

Ingredients

2 oz Whiskey

1 oz Lime Juice

6 Mint leaves (muddled)

1 Sugar cube (muddled)

One half teaspoon (dash) of edible white glitter

Top with Sparkling Water

Garnish: Mint leaves and lime wedge

I love a cocktail that is simple and sweet. Especially for whiskey cocktails, I like to play and let it also be the strong hold. It's a pretty good cocktail for a nice afternoon.

Recipe: In a cocktail shaker, muddle mint leaves and sugar cube. Get the sugar cube nice and broken up. Add ice. Then pour whiskey and lime juice. Dash in the edible glitter. Close and shake for about ten seconds. Strain into a highball glass with ice. Top with sparkling water. Garnish with a lime wedge and mint leaves.
