There's something delicious about a good cocktail bar. This past Friday, I ventured out to The Elk Room. It's a speakeasy in downtown Harbor East area of Baltimore. A part of the Atlas Group, it's a speakeasy with expensive taste.
There I had a couple cocktails. I like how each cocktail has an interesting combination of flavors and freedom in the bartenders skills. It's a place that I'm sure is either super fun to work at or super annoying. Each cocktail takes work and a high class place tends to come with a clientele that expects a certain level of service.
Would I recommend? Yes. It's a great cocktail bar. Perfect if you want to grab a drink before or after dinner. Somewhere you can either spend a lot of time at or not much at all. You'd get the same experience.
If you are looking for a classic, chill Baltimore experience, I would say this is not it. This is for people that are looking for something different. A place to escape and sort of get a different vibe. It's inspired by a lodge. Not Baltimore.
