Books and Booze: Lady Chatterley is having a moment

The New Year is all about starting healthy habits. While my main hobby isn't particularly healthy, I decided to add in some good karma with a healthy one. I want to spend more time reading this year (both fiction and non-fiction). As I get on my healthy book reading vibe, I think the only way to reward it is to create an inspo cocktail based on my book of choice. I started this month and this program with Lady Chatterley's Lover because I've always wanted to read it and I needed to before I watched the movie (yes I'm one of those people). It's a great look at the intersection of politics, society, and sexual pleasure. Hands down would recommend.

Lady C Needs Some D

Vodka Martini

Ingredients

2 oz Cherry Vodka

1/2 oz Frangelico (almond liqueur)

1 oz Lime juice

1/2 oz Simple Syrup

Garnish: Luxardo Cherry

Recipe: In a cocktail shaker with ice, pour all ingredients. Give it a proper shake and pour into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with a luxardo cherry (or maraschino cherry) and sip away. This cocktail is sweet but tart and plays into the torture of romance from the novel. In a more dreamy way. I hope you enjoy bot the cocktail and the book!
