Et Tu Brut?

Brut Champagne is one of the best wines I've ever had. I spent my early twenties drinking French 75s and glasses of champagne on my dates. I love the bubbles. It's celebratory, feels fancy, and always makes you feel light and a little in love. I'm not one of those people who says champagne is only for the rich or for special occasions. To me, champagne can be anytime and anyone. I love to mix champagne with different flavors. Brut champagne is great with rich flavors like blackcurrant, cherry, blackberry, and raspberry. You want something with a tartness and savoriness to it. Now, I drink brut solo or in cocktails so I've included my favorite cocktails and my favorite pairings.

Brut Champagne Pairings

Brunch ideas: eggs benedict, waffles, and fruit

Mix with OJ or no: brut champagne can balance most breakfast foods but the best is the savory and slightly sweet dishes

Supper/Dinner ideas: Steak, salmon, tuna, kale, spinach,

Dark meat, savory greens, and starchy carbs-think hearty meals that make you feel full but not like you can't move at all

Now for the cocktails...

Now I wish that I was drinking my Brut Champagne in my private jet flying off to a new place, but I'm at home blogging. Oh well. Time to pop some bottles and enjoy the time we have! Whether solo or in a cocktail, brut champagne has never done me wrong.
