She's pretty red and pretty sweet, this cocktail hits for the Irish redheads. This whiskey Wednesday I'm sharing a fun twist on the Irish whiskey and ginger. I wanted to share an Irish whiskey drink that doesn't have an overwhelming Irish whiskey taste. Not everyone can handle the whiskey sting so this cocktail is a perfect way to sip something stronger while not changing your taste buds.

Recipe: In a cocktail shaker with ice, pour Irish whiskey, blood orange juice, and lime juice. Shake until cold. Strain into an old fashioned glass with ice. Top with Ginger beer. Garnish with a blood orange wedge. This cocktail is perfectly sweet and great for sipping or a fun holiday party (wink wink). It's a great way to drink Irish whiskey if that's not your thing. The citrus flavors help hide the strong taste.
