Anyone who knows me knows I make a mean sangria. For fall holidays, I love sangria cause I can make it early and not be stressed about cocktails later. It gives me time and it's always a crowd pleaser! My Fall spin on sangria ups the ante with extra orange and a little splash of my cherry liqueur to the brandy. It adds more flavor and pairs really well with all the delightful flavors of the holiday.
Ingredients
Rioja (Red Wine)
Brandy
Cherry Liqueur
Two Oranges
One lemon
One lime
One Small Apple
Recipe: Slice up two oranges and then put them in the pitcher and muddle. Slice up one lemon and one lime and muddle them on top. Then pour the cherry liqueur and brandy. Finish with the red wine. Stir the ingredients and cover the pitcher before putting it in the fridge for at least two hours. An hour before you serve, slice up a small apple into small cubes. Add that to the pitcher. Give it another stir and let it sit. When you are serving, pour a little into a wine glass with some of the apple. Serve chilled.
