Springtime makes me want to drink bourbon and sit outside on my make believe porch. As I don't have a nice house in the South, I have to create these pretty things from my apartment. This bourbon sour is perfect just about anywhere.

Sweet and Southern
Bourbon Cocktail

Ingredients
2 oz Bourbon
1 oz Cointreau
1 oz Meyer Lemon Juice
1/2 oz Simple Syrup
6 Raspberries Muddled
Garnish: Raspberries

If you can get a meyer lemon, get one. It's a nice sweeter lemon that makes the cocktail more balanced and easy to drink. If you can't add a bit more simple syrup.
Recipe: In a cocktail shaker, muddle raspberries and simple syrup. You want to break up the raspberries so its more like little pieces. Add ice. Then pour bourbon, cointreau, and lemon juice. Close and shake until cold (about ten to fifteen seconds). Double strain into an old fashioned glass with ice. Garnish with raspberries.
